Dr. Julia L. Jones graduated magna cum laude from the Honors College at Rutgers University-Camden. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry and was a member of the Atheneum Honors Society. She was chosen by her former professors to teach Chemistry Lab at Rutgers Camden for a year. Julia also has a Phd in Cell and Molecular Biology from Rowan University, where she won the prestigious Foundation of Research Scholars Grant. Her thesis research focuses on studying protein:RNA interactions using a variety of biochemical approaches, with an overall goal to understand nuclear-controlled mitochondrial gene expression at a deeper level.
