Kairi Young

As an experienced high school mathematics teacher that has taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, and SAT mathematics, Kairi Young offers students comprehensive and personalized tutoring. Kairi has prepared many students for the transition from high school to a variety of post-secondary experiences, including both 2 and 4 year degree programs, trade and career institutes, and different branches of the U.S. Military. In addition to his 8 years as a high school teacher, Kairi was formerly a mathematics department chairperson for 5 years. As the chairperson, he was responsible for managing the mathematics department, supervising curricula, planning lessons, and preparing assessments.

Mr. Young currently works as an assistant principal at Olney Charter High School in Philadelphia Pa, overseeing a specific and unique accelerated program. This program is geared toward school aged and young adult students who are pursuing a high school diploma on a track that differs from a traditional student’s. Each student has a specifically designed schedule which typically allows for them to graduate within 1 year of attending the program.
Kairi Young received his undergraduate degree in mathematics at Rutgers University and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Mathematics at Rutgers University.
